Upload and manage documents and videos for AI-powered search and research.

Overview

The Knowledge Base is your repository for documents and videos that power AI-driven search and research. Upload content once, and it becomes instantly searchable through the Insights feature and accessible to Automations.

Supported File Types

Documents

  • PDF — Portable Document Format
  • DOCX — Microsoft Word documents
  • XLSX — Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • CSV — Comma-separated values

Videos

  • MP4 — Most common video format
  • MOV — QuickTime format
  • AVI — Audio Video Interleave
  • WebM — Web-optimized video

Uploading Content

Uploading Documents

  1. Navigate to Knowledge Base in the sidebar
  2. Click Upload Document
  3. Drag and drop your file into the upload area, or click to browse
  4. Monitor processing progress in the Job Tracker
  5. Once complete, your document becomes searchable

Uploading Videos

  1. Navigate to Knowledge Base in the sidebar
  2. Click Upload Video
  3. Select your video file
  4. The system will automatically transcribe the audio
  5. Monitor processing in the Job Tracker
  6. Once complete, both video and transcript become searchable

Job Tracker

The Job Tracker shows the status of your uploads:

  • Uploading — File is being transferred
  • Processing — AI is analyzing the content
  • Ready — Content is searchable and available
  • Failed — An error occurred (click for details)

Processing time depends on file size:

  • Small documents (under 10 pages): A few seconds
  • Large documents: Up to a few minutes
  • Videos: Depends on length (transcription takes time)

Upload History

View all your uploaded files in the Upload History section:

  • File name and type
  • Upload date
  • File size
  • Processing status
  • Actions (view, delete)

Organizing Your Knowledge Base

Naming Conventions

Use clear, descriptive file names for better searchability:

  • Include dates when relevant (e.g., "Q3-2024-Sales-Report.pdf")
  • Use consistent naming patterns across similar documents
  • Avoid generic names like "Document1.pdf"

Content Quality

For best results:

  • Upload clean, well-formatted documents
  • Ensure PDFs have selectable text (not just images)
  • Videos should have clear audio for accurate transcription

Using Your Knowledge Base

Once content is uploaded, you can:

  • Research with Insights — Ask questions and get AI-generated answers with citations
  • Reference in Automations — The AI can access your documents when executing tasks
  • Search globally — Use the search bar to find specific content

Troubleshooting

Upload Stuck in Processing

  • Large files take longer — wait for completion
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try re-uploading if stuck for more than 30 minutes
  • Ensure the file format is supported

Content Not Appearing in Search

  • Wait for processing to complete (check Job Tracker)
  • Verify the file uploaded successfully
  • Try different search terms
