Automations

Execute tasks through natural language conversations with AI.

Overview

The Automations page (also called Tasks) allows you to execute complex tasks by simply describing what you want in plain English. The AI processes your request and performs the actions automatically.

Interface Overview

  • Left Panel — List of saved conversations with message counts
  • Right Panel — Active chat interface
  • New Chat — Start a fresh conversation
  • Delete — Remove conversations individually or clear all

Running Your First Automation

  1. Click Automations in the sidebar
  2. Click the New Chat button (top right)
  3. In the message box, describe what you need. Examples:
    • "Summarize the sales report from last quarter"
    • "Draft an email to introduce our new product"
    • "Analyze customer feedback and identify trends"
  4. Press Enter or click Send
  5. Watch as the AI processes your request
  6. Review the results in the chat
  7. Continue the conversation to refine or ask follow-up questions

Tip: Your conversation is automatically saved for future reference.

Best Practices

Be Specific

The more detail you provide, the better the results. Instead of "write an email," try "write a follow-up email to a customer who attended our webinar last week, thanking them and offering a demo."

Use Context

Reference documents in your Knowledge Base by name. For example: "Using the Q3 Sales Report, identify our top-performing products."

Iterate and Refine

Follow up on AI responses to get exactly what you need:

  • "Make this more formal"
  • "Add more detail about the pricing"
  • "Shorten this to 3 paragraphs"

Save Important Chats

Don't delete conversations you might need later. They serve as a record of completed tasks and can be referenced for similar future work.

Managing Conversations

Viewing Past Conversations

All your conversations appear in the left panel, sorted by most recent. Click any conversation to view its full history.

Deleting Conversations

  • Hover over a conversation and click the delete icon to remove it
  • Use Clear All to remove all conversations (use with caution)

Monitoring Progress

For long-running tasks:

  • Check the Active Tasks widget on your Command Center
  • View the Activity Log page for completed task history
  • Tasks continue running even if you navigate away from the page
